PA Consulting Group runs seminar on future of the product development process

The latest seminar in PA Consulting Group's Technology and Innovation series focuses on future product development processes and looks at best practice tools and ways of working to improve overall effectiveness. The objective of PA's Product Development Symposium (11-12 March 2010), run in conjunction with the University of Cambridge,  is to create short-term best practice guidance and arrive at a longer-term process view which may have radically new elements. Our outputs will include new process roadmaps and a white paper report (available on request).

Recognising the need for such industry guidance, PA are well positioned to deliver it. Recent projects from PA's Technology Group include developing the SmartJect autoinjector, a world first in medical injectors, for Centocor R&D. A product ergonomically designed for use by both patients and their carers. It is shaped so that it can be easily gripped, and the button is located for optimum self and carer administration.  PA also helped Burgopak maximise the commercial potential of its unique packaging design, helping their team define the complete manufacturing process route, and guiding the company on protecting its innovation with both direct intellectual property (IP) and ‘ring fencing’ IP to protect the manufacturing process.
