PA Consulting talks about IP in developing the WiMAX Ecosystem - WiMAX Forum Congress, Taipei, 14 April 2010

Graham Bell, Consultant in Wireless Technology at PA Consulting Group will address The Role of Intellectual Property (Patents, Patent Pools, Licensing & Royalties) In Developing The WiMAX Ecosystem as part of the WiMAX on a plate breakfast briefing session (07.45hrs) on Wednesday 14 April at The WiMAX Forum Congress Asia 2010 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Graham will be reviewing the opportunities and threats of IPR in the WiMAX ecosystem including a comparison of patent pools in LTE vs WiMAX and considering the chances of success in either. He will also discuss of the role of IPR royalties in encouraging take-up of a technology: should caps be applied on IPR by the industry or do such caps limit innovation.
