APS, now S3 UK, Selex Galileo’s UK support business and part of the Finmeccanica Group, provides maintenance, repair and overhaul of the avionics for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Over the last five years, revenue grew rapidly, by 30% per annum. APS faced the challenge of continuing that growth and moving to the next stage of development.
PA was asked to develop a new supply chain strategy, reduce costs and examine the potential shape and nature of future business.
The new strategy, designed by PA, is now being implemented in full. As part of this a coherent set of opportunities to achieve significant cost reductions through improved supply chain management and process re-engineering were identified, as well as ways to grow revenue through improvements in key business relationships and clarification of the value proposition.
